Support to the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Quality, Monitoring and Control Compliance Systems of Plant-based Primary and semi-processed Agricultural Products in Ethiopia

Project Description

The aim is to strengthen the Ethiopian Plant Protection and Food Safety Authority in order to improve control systems and thus promote compliance with regulations and export opportunities. The project is being implemented in consortium with Lithuania. In addition to the Lower Saxony State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (LAVES), the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety, the Julius Kühn Institute, and the BMLEH are also involved. The long-term advisor is provided by the Veterinary Authority of Bremen.
